Sounds grueling. You should have checked out ratemyprofessor.com before you signed up for the class. Mind you the opinions are either for or against the teacher(nothing in between, but you should be able to figure which teacher are agreeable.

Abosolutely do not take it with Pamela Perez unless you enjoy the old school method of teaching. She does not make learning spanish enjoyable. Class time is used to go over examples in the book and exchange answers with classmates. She does not use the abundant source of movies, literature, music, art, etc. as a tool for engaging the students in learning. Class overall is very boring and a waste of time.
